El Fuego Inolvidable marks my Opera Prima as a cinematographer. This deeply independent feature was born from a desire to tell a story that touches on social realities in Mexico that are often hidden from view. Upon reading director Fernando Benitez O.'s script, I knew the visual language needed to be as bold as the narrative. I took an active role in the film's realization, which was produced over the course of a year through private funding. The film’s raw, authentic approach has since been recognized with multiple first-place awards at various film festivals.
